Lake of Stars – Best wishes for the future. Thank you all for making our stay so fantastic! You are doing such a great job in uniting and supporting the local communities as well as running a fabulous lodge. As we sit at breakfast on our terrace with a beautfiul view of the lake I realize there are memories I will carry with me forever. Our candlenight dinner on Scotlandi beach will always rank as one of our top 5 memorable meals. Thank you for a lovely stay - thank you for all that you are doing with the villages, the villagers and the Manda Wilderness Project. You are a model for what needs to be done in the world. A perfect combination of complete relaxation, mixed with education: perefct blue skies coupled with lively conversation, or peace where required, a taste of life in Africa, ralaxation in our prodigious chalets and all importnmat glimpse into what true, responsible tourism can look like. Thjis is ahead of its game as travellers look for ways of cleansing thier soul, replenishing thier spirit and minimising their guilt at too much consumption. For all Nkwichi's orht while aims, it also operates seamlessly as a great, warm hospitable holiday destination. Thank you to everyone for leaving us with so many inspirational and hardy memories. Who would have thought so much to hold is right at your fingertips
waiting to be taken in. Squeaky sands, pink sunsets and heated rocks will forever stick
in my mind – a very dramatic contrast to the vivid green jungle
behind. Loved it! Great place, great ideas and a great help for the people
of Niassa. Don’t get discouraged by setbacks. Push on and see
it through, keep this place as special and unique as it has always
been. I hope all goes well with the future of water and sanitation
projects here in the Lago district. Two great days, lazing in hammocks, bird watching, hiking, and
spotting animals (we saw quite a few) and fun on the rocks. We will
tell all about this beautiful place and hope to be back soon. A
particular thanks to all the very friendly and helpful staff. This has turned out to be much harder and sadder day than I anticipated.
Looking through the comment book I have seen how visitors are taken
with the astonishing beauty of this place. Undeniable as it is,
it is only half of what makes it so special here, especially for
a long-timer like me. The people who live around here and particularly
those who work here are fantastic. Their friendship, good humour
and hard work is something I’ll always remember. All the best with keeping this little piece of paradise as close
to nature as possible. Incredibly interesting project you have going here, I have enjoyed
the peace and beauty of this spot. May your days be long and happy! Thank you for the heavenly visit of the healing time. Your work
in the community is inspiring. Bless you all for providing such

In this fairytale land….. Rocks sprinkled with gold dust, Cold

What more can I say…… Heaven is a place on earth! From jumping on the dhow, snorkelling
around the rocks, drinks on the deck and fantastic dinners. A fantastic
3 days in this paradise, Nkwichi Lodge. Thanks for a great stay. Great to be back and to see how Nkwichi has evolved and developed
(since Christmas 99) and keeping the spirit of the place –
most beautiful, peaceful and alive corner of wilderness. In harmony
with the communities and with nature and a superb bush walk and
wild camping with the best teams. Well done for hard work to all
of you. Fabulous sunrise and sunset – the perfect birthday! Thanks
for all your hospitality and very friendly atmosphere. The chalets
are superb and the sunsets spectacular and the staff all welcoming
and splendid. Experiencing the Mozambique wilderness on our three day walk, seeing
and feeling the warm friendliness of the people here, fantastic. A magnificent place to spend a weekend. We loved the lunch under
the big baobab tree and the early morning bird walks. Thanks to
all for the laid back but excellent service. We came here knowing nothing of Mozambique but will leave with
wonderful memories of an incredible Lake/Bush/Wildlife environment.
The lodge was a pleasure to stay in – made so by the enthusiasm
and friendliness of the staff, the comfort of the chalets, great
food and some good boogie boarding when the wind was up. This is truly the most colourful, beautiful, raw, remote place left in Africa. There is a rare and exotic soul here. Thanks for the adventurous journey – Please keep it a guarded secret. This is just to thank you for the nice stay and the project related
issues, your determination in trying to save this part of Niassa.
Hope your actions and expectation will help other people who are
visiting this side, to keep thinking doing something else similar
in other places. Its always a pleasure to visit your Lake Shore paradise in Niassa.
Congratulations on constructing what must be one of the first lodges
on the lake in the most difficult of conditions. This is a lovely spot in every respect, water, vegetation, rock
formations. Thank you for a thousand times for a truly enjoyable
stay (alas too short) and for all your kindness and thoughtfulness,
every good wish.
